NPS: Temu’s NPS comes in at 10 overall, but underneath the hood customers are fairly divided in that 40% are promoters and 30% are detractors.
Usage: Temu users expect to increase their usage of the platform going forward (32.1% of respondents said increase, while just 7.9% said decrease). Among those that expect to increase usage going forward, the main reason is price and affordability.
Competitive Dynamics
Among Temu customers who shop other platforms in our survey, Amazon, Target, Walmart, Wayfair, and Etsy are preferred over Temu. Customers who shop at Wish, Overstock, and eBay prefer Temu over each.
When asked directly, 79.4% of Temu customers said that Temu does not replace any of the spending that they would typically direct at other ecommerce platforms. From the 20.6% who said that it does replace spending, the top platforms that get replaced include Wish, Amazon, and Target.
