We saw that among readers of core publications, the percentage of respondents who read NYT and WSJ has been up in January and February relative to late last year.
Prior to that, though, the percentage of respondents who were daily readers was much higher during the peak of the pandemic.
Similarly, we see that the percentage of readers who have paid subscriptions was also higher during the pandemic.
Another note: The amount of readers who aren’t subscribers who would be willing to pay for a subscription with NYT and peers is lower now than during the peak of the pandemic.
